  • Once again, Tuesday’s Farmers Market will celebrate Kids’ Day in Brownstown
    For the second consecutive week the Brownstown Township Farmers Market will cater its activities to celebrate kids.
  • Things to do Downriver this weekend, July 31-Aug. 2
    •With roughly 120 vendors, the fourth annual Melvindale Street Fair takes place from 10 a.m. to 10 p.m. Aug. 1 and 2 at Oakwood Boulevard and Allen Road. New to the fair this year will be a 5k run through the city in honor of Yvonne Kollmorgen, the former secretary to Striz and the City Council who died earlier this year.   • MDOT to hold public meeting on I-94 sound wall in Taylor
    The Michigan Department of Transportation will hold a public informational meeting from 4:30 to 6:30 p.m. Tuesday regarding repairs on the sound wall along I-94 and Telegraph Road in Taylor.
