INSIDE AUTO: The 2013 ATS stalks new markets for Cadillac
The Cadillac ATS — a small luxury sedan that is well-appointed and quite fun to drive — is good enough to be named the North American Car of the Year. With that award under its belt, it’s going straight after the competition, particularly the Europeans.
WYANDOTTE: Group places permanent prescription drop box at police station
WYANDOTTE — This city’s Police Department has become the third Downriver to offer a permanent prescription drug drop-off box, following Southgate and Flat Rock.
Elizabeth Park bridge work
Checking the railing on one of the footbridges at Elizabeth Park in Trenton is a worker from the Wayne County Parks and Recreation Department. In all, six bridges in the park will have work done; two will be restored, one will be rebuilt and three others will be replaced with precast concrete spans. The park is off West Jefferson Avenue, along the Detroit River’s Trenton Channel and just south of downtown Trenton. Major renovations have been done at the popular walking, picknicking and fishing site over the past two years.
