Elizabeth Park bridge work
Checking the railing on one of the footbridges at Elizabeth Park in Trenton is a worker from the Wayne County Parks and Recreation Department. In all, six bridges in the park will have work done; two will be restored, one will be rebuilt and three others will be replaced with precast concrete spans. The park is off West Jefferson Avenue, along the Detroit River’s Trenton Channel and just south of downtown Trenton. Major renovations have been done at the popular walking, picknicking and fishing site over the past two years.

LINCOLN PARK — A pillowcase full of miscellaneous items found in the 3500 block of River Drive at about noon May 12 led police to a burglary that had occurred that morning.
