Job Summary:
The Program Aid plays a vital role in supporting the daily operations of the Perfect Place Drop-In Center. This position assists Certified Peer Support Specialists (CPSS) and program staff in creating a safe, welcoming, and recovery-focused environment for participants. The Program Aid helps facilitate activities, maintain the facility, and provide general support to ensure smooth program delivery.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist CPSS and program staff with group activities, events, and participant engagement.
- Help maintain a clean, organized, and safe environment within the center.
- Greet and check in participants, ensuring they feel welcomed and supported.
- Provide support during transportation of participants (if applicable).
- Monitor participant needs and communicate concerns to CPSS or program leadership.
- Help prepare materials and supplies for daily programming.
- Support documentation and administrative tasks as needed.
- Uphold confidentiality and ethical standards in all interactions.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Compassionate, dependable, and committed to supporting individuals in recovery.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment.
- Must pass background check.
- Valid driver’s license preferred (chauffeur’s license a plus for transport duties).
Preferred Skills:
- Experience working in mental health, recovery, or community support settings.
- Familiarity with peer support principles and trauma-informed care.
- Bilingual abilities are a plus.
