Services To Enhance Potential (STEP) is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization that
provides support and services to over 1,400 individuals with disabilities and other
mental health needs in Wayne and Macomb Counties. Our mission is to support
individuals in the pursuit of their chosen goals and the achievement of personal
satisfaction in their lives.
STEP programs include an award-winning culinary arts program, a Progressive Art
Studio Collective program with 3 studios and a gallery in Southgate, three STEP owned
and operated Thrift Store & Donation Centers, kitting and hand assembly production
opportunities, employment training services, volunteer opportunities, and classroom
learning experiences among others. We strongly believe that all individuals have the
choice and ability to achieve the quality of life they deserve.
