Our Mission Statement:
Shore to Shore Community Federal Credit Union’s mission is to improve our member's lives by providing quality products and superior service, to improve our employees’ lives by providing a positive and stable work environment, and to improve the communities we live and work in.
Our History:
On February 9, 1953, Trenton Chrysler Employees Federal Credit Union received their approval of the organization certificate allowing for the servicing of the primary field of a membership consisting of three Chrysler plants. In 1960, the credit union’s name was changed to Trenton Federal Credit Union to reflect the ever-growing diversity of our membership.
In September 1980, the charter of the credit union was changed to that of a community charter. Eight years later, the field of membership was expanded to all persons who reside in Trenton, Grosse Ile, and Woodhaven, except for those persons eligible for primary membership in an occupation-type credit union maintaining an office in Trenton.
In February of 1999, that exclusionary clause was removed extending membership eligibility to all those who live, work or worship in the communities of Trenton, Woodhaven and Grosse Ile.
Once again in August of 2010, the credit union’s name was changed to Shore to Shore Community Federal Credit Union to encourage the residents, in all the Downriver communities we serve, to join. Today our membership has grown to include all those who live, work or worship in our fifteen Downriver communities.
