The Southeast Michigan Community Alliance (SEMCA)
SEMCA is a 501(c)3 non-profit that administers various human services programs in Monroe County and out-Wayne County.
Since 1996, the Southeast Michigan Community Alliance (SEMCA) has been a leader in talent development programs. SEMCA partners with various community organizations and contractors to serve residents in Wayne and Monroe counties, excluding the city of Detroit.
SEMCA is governed by two volunteer boards that fulfill specific functions of the organization: the Workforce Development Board and the Southeast Governmental Alliance (SEGA).
SEMCA provides administrative services to the Workforce Intelligence Network (WIN).
Mission and Vision
SEMCA’s mission is to provide innovative leadership to create an inclusive life-long talent and career development system that is responsive to evolving labor market demands.
Through SEMCA’s leadership, there is a robust career and talent pipeline sustained by public and private partnerships driving a vital, competitive economy.
As a result of our high-performance standards and dedication to the residents of southeast Michigan, SEMCA is accredited by the Council on Accreditation, the first nonprofit organization in the country to receive such accreditation from the Council under its newest network standards.
