Nonprofit Resource Roundtable May 2026
To empower local nonprofit organizations, the Southern Wayne County Regional Chamber hosts the Nonprofit Resource Roundtable, connecting industry leaders and professionals on key issues and topics. The series provides SWCRC nonprofit members with the resources needed to effectively operate and influence a positive and lasting impact in our community. In a “roundtable” setting, attendees will engage on different topics each meeting and provide best practices and expert advice to colleagues across the industry. Each meeting is free and open to all SWCRC nonprofit members.
Due to high demand and limited space – we ask that participants be from non-profit organizations and that an RSVP has been registered.
From Idea to Award: A Simple Guide to Grant Funding will provide small and community-based nonprofits with a clear, practical introduction to the grant process. Led by Wayne Metro Community Action Agency’s Joan Brophy, this session will walk participants through the fundamentals of identifying the right funding opportunities, understanding what funders look for, and building a strong, competitive proposal. Designed with smaller, volunteer-driven organizations in mind, the workshop will break down the process into manageable steps, offer real-world insights, and leave attendees with greater confidence and actionable next steps toward securing grant funding.
